Certification Guidelines

We need a copy of your candidates relevant certificates when regarding an ITIL® Intermediate, MALC or Prince2 Practitioner exam. If the exam isn't in connection with a course we also need a course completion certificate. Below you'll find detailed information regarding each exam.

ITIL

ITIL Foundation
Student must pass a 60 minute, 40 question closed book multiple choice, examination with a passing score of 65% in order to receive this certification.

ITIL Practitioner
The examination is open book and made up of multiple choice questions based on a scenario. Students will be allowed 105 minutes to answer the questions. You need at least 70% (28/40 points) to pass.

Candidates wishing to be examined for this qualification must already hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate.

The Intermediate examinations is closed book and made up of multiple choice questions based on a scenario. Students will be allowed 120 minutes to answer the questions. You need at least 70% (28/40 points) to pass.

Candidates wishing to be examined for Intermediate qualifications must already hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate.

ITIL Expert

Managing Across the Lifecycle


Candidates wishing to be examined for MALC must already hold 17 collected points from Foundation and Lifecycle/Capability level of ITIL®.

ITIL Foundation - 2 points
ITIL Practitioner - 3 points
Lifecycle (Strategy, Design, Operation, Transition, CSI) - 3 points
Capability (OSA, PPO, RCV, SOA) - 4 points
Managing Across the Lifecycle - 5 points

Candidates must have earned 22 points to achieve the ITIL Expert level of certification.

PRINCE2 

Prince 2 Foundation
Student must pass a 60 minute, 70 question closed book multiple choice, examination with a passing score of 50% in order to receive this certification.

Prince2 Practitioner
  • Objective testing
  • 8 questions – 10 question items per question, each worth one mark
  • 44 marks or more required to pass (out of 80 available) – 55%
  • Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only).
Candidates wishing to be examined for this qualification must already hold the Prince2 Foundation Certificate.

Prince2 Agile

  • Objective testing
  • 50 questions, each worth one mark
  • 30 marks or more required to pass (out of 50 available) – 60% pass mark
  • Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 Agile guide only).
Candidates wishing to be examined for this qualification must already hold the Prince2 Practitioner Certificate (not older than 5 years).
